After a few years, several of the blocks had cracked, so my block steps were not the best. In addition, the deck between the garage and the house needed to be replaced. When the previous owners replaced the deck with a wider one, they never replaced the deck between the garage and the house. So it only ran to about the middle of the new steps. I had placed some temporary decking, but it all needed to be replaced. Well I finally got around to it. The new deck between the garage and house is larger, and much better.
When we moved to this house, the only way to get down to the lower part of the back yard was to climb down the rocks. To make it easier, using some blocks the previous owners had left, I built this steps.
I finally made it to Ron and Judy’s place in December 2002. Dad and I had driven to Jessica and Jason’s wedding and on Sunday afternoon we drove down and spent the night. They had been experiencing fog for several weeks so all of the trees were covered by a heavy layer of frost.
